JASON MATTHEWS FROM 92.5 GOLD FM INTERVIEWS MRS AUSTRALIA

What an exciting week of radio interviews it has been!  The last interview I did this week was with the rush hour team of 92.5 Gold FM on the sunny Gold Coast.

Jason was great and we had a laugh about how I manage to juggle the daily responsibilities of being a mother of 2 under 2 and being Mrs Australia.

The bottom line is that I'm just a regular mum who loves her kids and has a passion for getting out into the community and helping those in need.  Some days I'm a 'Super-mum' and I get so much done that I surprise myself and other days I end up wearing my toddlers breakfast for most of the day an struggle to get dinner on the table. But no matter what type of day it ends up being I love every minute of it and wouldn't change it for the world.

CHILLI 90.1 FM LAUNCESTON INTERVIEWS MRS AUSTRALIA

I had a chance to catch up with Tim and Josh from Launcheston's Chilli 90.1 to talk about my journey as Mrs Australia and my charity work with Look Good Feel Better and Mums on a Mission.

I knew from reading the bio's of Tim and Josh that the interview was going to be fun.  Tim's bio says he has worked at radio stations all over the country, enjoys skateboarding and CAN grow facial hair and Josh has also worked in radio all over the country, enjoys eating and CAN'T really grow facial hair.  Ha!!! The boys are a great team and the interview was so much fun.  Thanks for having me Chilli FM!

I'll be sure to post the link to my interview as soon as it's online.

DAILY MAIL ARTICLE: MRS AUSTRALIA TALKS ABOUT GETTING INTO SHAPE FOR MRS INTERNATIONAL

I had a chance to chat with Daily Mail who were interested to know what I am doing to prepare my body for the Mrs International finals.

After having my second child I am as committed as ever to getting my body as fit and healthy as I can before the competition this July.  It can be tricky at times with an 8 week old and a 19 month old to look after but it is do-able.

Six seeks after I had my baby and after I was given the 'go ahead' from my doctor, I starting working out and committed myself to at least 30 minutes of cardio each day.  For me the best time is usually in the evenings when my husband is home and the kids are asleep. Now, I must admit sometimes it doesn't happen.  One child may be sick or another might be having trouble settling, but 9 out of 10 times I drag myself out of the house and just DO it! After a long exhausting day taking care of little ones the last thing I want to do is work out, but I wouldn't be doing myself any justice if I just sat in front of a TV all night and vegged out. Getting there is the hardest part but I never regret it after.

Check out my latest article with Daily Mail.  Click on the link below.

SPECIAL FAMILY TRIP TO MELBOURNE

My family and I pack ourselves up and took a trip to Melbourne last weekend to enjoy the sights and also make a special stop to meet up with a friend to talk about what we can do as a family to help Beyond Blue . A very special charity organisation helping people with depression and anxiety.

My husband lost a very close work colleague from suicide 4 years ago and since then he has been very interested in learning what not only he can do but what our family can do to help those in need and do what we can to try to prevent anyone suffering from depression from ending their life like Jordan's friend did.

They are such a fantastic organisation and offer so many resources to who are suffering from depression and anxiety.

If you or anyone you know could benefit from the resources that this program offers, please visit www.beyondblue.org.au.

Myself and Sister of the Sash, Miss Teen Australia International Ruby Adamson, were honored to be special guest speakers at the St. Marks Fete in Drummoyne today. We each had the opportunity to speak about our charitable platforms.  Ruby spoke about her Smile 21 program and I spoke about the importance of positive body image and my involvement as an ambassador with Look Good Feel Better.

It is always great to get out into the community and speak about the issues close to my heart.

Thanks again to St. Marks in Drummoyne for having us!

MRS AUSTRALIA MAKES AN APPEARANCE WITH MICKEY ON THE NEW HUGGIES TVC

Today I had the exciting opportunity to feature the new Huggies television commercial with adorable little Scarlett.

The original casting was for my daughter Elsie and not for myself so I was a little surprised when I got the phone call saying that I had secured the roll. How exciting! At the time I wasn't quite ready to return back to work after having my second baby only 10 weeks before, but Elsie was chosen as the back up baby and with permission I was able to able bring Taylor along so it ended up working out very well. Unfortunately Elsie wasn't used in the final cut but we had such a fun day anyways.  How cute is Scarlett!! She was such a super star!

A FUNDRAISER CROWNING FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS

Last night was a very special night for myself and my sister queens Miss Teen Australia International Ruby Adamson and Miss Australia International Deedee Zibara.

After holding our titles for almost 6 weeks now we had the opportunity to hold a special fundraiser event and take the stage for the first time in front of our family and friends as this years Australia International pageant title holders.

Because I was pregnant at the time we took the titles over in December, we decided to hold off on a public crowning so we didn't have to run the risk of me going into labour at the event. I was so happy that we did because my gorgeous son Taylor and my mother who had traveled from Portland, Oregon to visit were both able to join us.

In front of more than 60 friends and family we spoke out about our platforms and shared our vision for the next year.

I am so excited to see what this year has in store and be a voice for Look Good Feel Better.
