Everyone loves a good baby shower. There is always good food, good company and lots of cute little baby things to swoon over.  But are you suppose to have a baby shower for your second baby? I have always been on the fence with the idea.

I think having a baby shower for your first baby is great, it's new, it's exciting and all the gifts are appreciated because you are just starting out, but I didn't feel comfortable receiving so many gifts for my second.

During my second pregnancy a few of my friends asked if I was going to have a shower for Taylor.
That's when I got the idea of having a charity baby shower.  My friends and family could come meet Taylor after he had been born, but we asked our guests to not bring gifts, instead they could make a donation to The Children's Hospital at Westmead by purchasing a raffle ticket for their chance to win 1 of 2 beautiful gift baskets from Diamond Kids Boutique

We had a wonderful afternoon.  My 18 month old daughter Elsie was such a little super star. She wanted to help me out so she wrote everyone's name on their raffle ticket.  Of course she doesn't know how to spell but she took the job so seriously that I couldn't tell her no. Such a cutie! I think she is going to become a wonderful charity ambassador one day!

Here are a few pictures from the day.

Today I had the exciting opportunity to be a guest on channel 7's Sunrise. It was such an honor to talk about being Mrs Australia and the Mrs International finals I will be attending this July.

Kochie and Sam were amazing and made me feel at ease right away.  I can't wait to be back on the show after the competition to share my experience with Australia.

Here are a few pictures from the day and a link to the video.

Please note: There is a mistake in the video. I will be competing in the Mrs International competition not Mrs World.  They had a misprint in their teleprompter and was unable to change it before I went on air : )
