A huge welcome to our son Taylor from Australian media! Thanks again to News Corp for the syndicated articles which were shared with every major newspaper across Australia.

Only 1 week after I had my maternity photos taken, Benita Jensen was back again to take these gorgeous images of Taylor. I know it is said time and time again but babies do grow so fast.  I am so happy we were able to capture these beautiful moments.

Although this was my second child the experience was just an incredible as the first.

It was 7pm on the dot and I was putting my 17 month daughter to bed.  As I lifted her into the cot I had a monster contraction. I knew right away it was time to make tracks.  Funny how the second time around as a mother you just know when it's 'go' time.

My husband had stepped out to the corner shop to buy more milk and when he came home I was already on the phone arranging for someone to come watch my daughter.  I remember my husband saying "Honey, are you sure this is the real deal?" I remember looking glazingly at him with a sarcastic look on my face as I held my breath through a contraction "Yes, dear! Don't question me. He is DEFINITELY on his way!" : )

My cousin was at my house within minutes of my phone call to her and we were out the door and on our way to the hospital.

On January 23rd at 1:55am we welcomed a gorgeous baby boy into the world. Words can not describe how blessed I feel to have been able to bring another child into this world.  My heart is so full of joy.  I can't wait to introduce him to the world.

photo left: a little light reading and my gorgeous flowers from my husband.
photo right: Taylor's going home picture.  This tux onesy was actually my younger brother's,  He wore it home from the hospital almost 30 years ago.

Today, at 37 1/2 weeks pregnant I had the opportunity to do a maternity shoot with good friend and amazing photographer Benita Jensen.  Benita and I have worked together at TVSN for several years and she has been there to see my bump grow over the past few months.  It was such an honor to share these special moments with her.  Here are a few quick shots from our session.  I can't wait to share more with you all in the coming weeks.

Dove's new "Legacy" video highlights the impact a mother's self-esteem has on her daughter

In October, Dove released a new short video as part of the Dove Self-Esteem Project, emphasising the impact a mother's self-esteem has on her daughter.

The video titled "Legacy" encourages mothers to create a positive beauty legacy with their daughters to help them grow up more confident about themselves to help to realize their full potential.

The video sends a powerful message that highlights to mothers that the way they feel about their own body directly influences the way their daughter feels about their own body.

The Dove Self-Esteem Project's mission is to help the next generation of woman develop a positive relationship with the way they look. So far they have reached over 14 million woman and hope to reach 15 million by the end of this year.

Please enjoy and remember to share the video with other mothers.  If you take anything away from watching it, remember, the way a girl feels about her beauty starts with how you feel about yours!

Yesterday my husband and I had the opportunity to check out a little piece of Australian history.  The Australiana Pioneer Village, located in Wilberforce, NSW is like stepping back in time.  The town is set up just how life was over 100 years ago fit with a lolly shop, blacksmith, and bee house with horse and carriage rides available.  It's a great day out for the kids and a fun way to learn about Australian history for all.

How much of a persons success comes from their own belief that they can succeed?  I think our beliefs have more to do with our success than most of us think.

Of course, you have to physically make a move to make anything happen, but your state of mind is the driving force.  Time and time again I've seen bright, talented people with everything going for themselves just give up on their dreams.  Some of them were so close to achieving their goals but for some reason decided they couldn't do it.  How many people do you know work for the money and do not have a passion for what they do? Unfortunately, I know more people in this position than I care to admit.

I often wonder what these people would have achieved if they only believed they could. Sometimes just believing you can is the most powerful tool a person can have. You never know what tomorrow is going to bring and sometimes tomorrow is all you need to reach your goal so don't give up today.

I made the decision to believe in myself and so can you.  Never tell yourself you are not good enough.  You are SO capable and can achieve anything you put your mind to.  All you have to do is believe you can.

You know your a mum when...

Your ideal New Years celebration includes a night in watching the fireworks on TV and sipping mocktails with close family and friends.

Long gone are the nights of wild parties and late night kebabs especially when you are 35 weeks pregnant with your second child.  But, you know what, I wouldn't change it for the world.  I love spending quality time with my family and friends especially during the holiday season and what better excuse to stay up past midnight (yes midnight is WAY past my bedtime) than New Years.

We had a great BBQ and watched the fireworks from the comfort of my living room without having to battle the crowds to do so.  SCORE!!

Cheers to the NEW YEAR!! I am so excited to see what 2015 has in store.  It's going to be a big year with our second child due at the beginning on February and becoming the new Mrs Australia.
