It's Day 3 in Jacksonville!!

Today was a full day of rehearsals in the theater. The first time I walked into the theater it took my breath away.  I still can't believe in less than a week I am going to be on stage competing for the title of Mrs International.  I can't to take to the stage on Friday and Saturday night.  Wish me luck! Winning the title of Mrs International would be such an incredible opportunity.

I have some wonderful news!!!

The film project that I have been working on with Look Good Feel Better is finally complete.  This project has been almost 5 years in the making.  I truly believe my mission her on this earth is to inspire, it is my purpose and my WHY.  I want to inspire others to get involved with a cause close to their hearts like how Look Good Feel Better is to mine.  I want to awaken the spirit within people, teach them about different charities and educate them and show them how they can get involved.

In my first project we follow the incredible makeover journey of cancer survivor Tansi Mclnerney and with the help of Look Good Feel Better, The Langham Sydney, Stylist Rebecca Harloff, makeup artist Sabrina Melei, wig specialist Jan Wright and Ben Scott Photography, Tansi is treated to a special makeover to give her confidence during a time when she needs it most.

Please be sure to watch and share my video.  Help me raise awareness for this beautiful cause and help me inspire people to get involved.

Today was day 2 in Jacksonville and MY BIRTHDAY!!! : )

I had the most wonderful day.  We did some sight seeing around Jacksonville and visited St. Augustine, the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium, and the premium outlet mall.

Jacksonville is such a beautiful city and all the girls had an amazing time getting out of the hotel and spending some quality time together.

In the evening we had our first rehearsals at the hotel.  It was so exciting to hear the music for the first time and learn the dance moves.  It has been awhile since I have been on stage and I forgot just how much I love preforming! I can't wait to step foot on the stage in the theater for the first time under the lights.

When I got back to my room after rehearsal there was a beautiful birthday gift from my husband. He sent me a dozen gorgeous red roses and a bunch of birthday balloons.  I can't wait for him to get to the hotel tomorrow night.  It is going to be wonderful having him here with me and I can't wait for him to escort me out on stage for my evening gown competition.

Here are a few pictures from the day.

It is Day 1 in Jacksonville at the Omni Hotel for Mrs International! I am so excited for the week ahead and so thankful to be a part of this wonderful pageant system that celebrates the accomplishments of married women from all over the world.

Today was a beautiful sunny day in Jacksonville.  I had the day to myself to settle into my room and reflect on my year so far ahead of a busy week.

Our orientation started 6pm. It was amazing meeting so many strong, brave and inspiring women from all over the world.  We were given a beautiful gift pack full of all sorts of great Mrs International goodies including a towel, water bottle, t-shirt, sweater and much more.

It was a great experience meeting Mrs International 2014, Maggie Thorne.  She was even more gorgeous in real life and such a great speaker. She had us all decorate a pair of shoes for Soles 4 Soles.

I'm really looking forward to the week ahead.  Be sure to follow me on facebook, twitter, instagram and here on my blog to follow my journey.

Today I was invited to make a special visit at ABC Studios in Ultimo where I had the opportunity to go on air with Libbi Gorr in Melbourne for a special interview.  I spoke candidly with Libbi about what it is like being Mrs Australia International, the preparation involved, and my involvement with Look Good Feel Better.  We also discussed the common misconception that some have about pageants and the differences between the pageant system here in Australia and in the US. It was a wonderful interview and I had a great time talking with Libbi. I'll be sure to post the link as soon as it is available.

Thank you ABC Radio for having me!

It was great speaking with the two about what is like being Mrs Australia and how important charity work is to all the contestants involved in Mrs International. I was excited when my 5 month old son Taylor made an appearance. Taylor is such a happy baby and seemed to really like being involved. I was so proud of him!
